About Me
Hi there! My name’s Lexi Wright. I founded EarthPulse Solutions to continue doing what I have been my whole life: helping people and the planet.
At the ripe age of 11, I was creating biodegradable packaging peanuts out of oatmeal (apple cinnamon, of course) and bamboo for a school innovation project.
My empathetic nature, for people and the planet, led me to enroll in a multidisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Global Development and Environmental Studies. After being exposed to the sheer power the private sector had to impact climate change, or not, during an internship, I decided to continue learning about the business world through a Graduate Diploma in Business at the Smith School of Business.
Time spent as a group fitness instructor during my studies taught me how to bring people together through a shared passion. I also campaigned for my university to divest from fossil fuels and taught the student body how to make incremental lifestyle changes toward sustainability.
After graduating, I spent over a year working in higher education at the Ivey Business School’s Centre for Building Sustainable Value. From planning global conferences alongside the United Nations to building an energized alumni sustainability community – I learned a ton about stakeholder engagement, systems change, and how to execute a world-class event.
Feeling like I missed out on the ‘global’ part of my Global Development degree after spending the majority of my undergraduate years in a pandemic, I took my work and laptop internationally. I enjoyed a lifestyle of slow travel and exciting remote projects before settling into San Diego, California.
Now, I’m eager to connect those who want to positively impact the climate both in my local community and globally. I’m an eco-optimist and believe that getting the word out about awesome, impactful initiatives will do more good than dwelling on the easily accessible doom and gloom.
Let’s work together to solve this century’s grand challenges in a collaborative way.
